My Best Birthday
I have a birthday coming up in a few weeks, but I don't have anything special planned. One of the most special birthdays I ever had was my 16th birthday. It was the last birthday I had with my dad. He had found out that he had cancer in March of that year and had been in the hospital multiple times for chemo and radiation treatments. Because of his illness, I had my party at Aunt Shirley and Uncle Louis' house. All my friends from school were there and we had a great time!

Fireworks
What Your These Fireworks Say About You |
You are deeply passionate about a few things in your life. Everything else, you couldn't care less about. Your passions tend to hold steady over time. If anything, they intensify. Once you hold on to something (or someone), you don't let go! |

This is my latest lo. It is a combination of challenges from Sweet Shoppe Designs and Digital Scrapbook place. I used a template by Kay Miller and a page kit by Tina Chambers. I thought it was really cute. :)
Gram is here visiting now and she brought Heidi so the boys are in hog heaven. We have eaten out every meal and plus gone to see both Wall-E and Kung Fu Panda. Personally I like Wall-E better.

My Refrigerator
What Your Fridge Says About You |
You like to be surrounded by things you love. You aren't exactly greedy, but you can be materialistic at times. You are not careful with your money. In fact, you rarely think about how much you are spending. You don't tend to be a very adventurous person, but you do surprise everyone now and then. You have a bit of a wild side. You are responsible, together, and mature. You act like an adult, even when you don't feel like it. You are likely single - and a workaholic. |
Well, that's what the quiz said, but I don't really think it describes me. ;)

I'm a white rose.
You Are a White Rose |
You represent youthfulness and purity. Your vibe: Sweet and heavenly Falling in love with you: is like falling in love for the first time |
The boys have been gone all week so I've got quite a lot of scrappin' done. Here's the latest. Mighty cute if I do say so myself. This is my nephew Aiden on his first birthday.
On Tuesday, I worked on my Vacation Bible School material with one of my co-teachers. We are studying Samuel, Jesus, and Timothy as children. The problem is that we were given no material to work with. We have to come up with our own. We spent 5 hours in the teacher resource room looking for things. Jesus at the Temple when he was 12 and Samuel being called by God was pretty easy to find, but Timothy was hard because there isn't really a story about him. It's hard to talk to 3 year olds for 2 hours about Timothy being taught about God by his mother and grandmother. I finally found a picture for them to color and we're going to have them make a little Bible out of craft foam to take home. Any other suggestions welcome.
I've also been working on clearing clutter from my house. I've started with the boys' clothes. I just hid their winter clothes when the seasons changed (from cold to hot-only have 2 here) so now I'm sorting and putting away and preparing to give away. I will be SOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad when I am done. Better get back to it...

The best vacation I've taken in the last two years (not to mention the only one) was to Niagara Falls. I went with the kids, my mom, my brother and his girlfriend (now wife). While we were there, we went to the Butterfly Conservatory, the Floral Clock, the fireworks show, Journey Behind the Falls, White Water Walk, and rode one of the Maid of the Mist boats. We also went to Marineland which was the boys' favorite thing.
The Falls are definitely amazing. It is overwhelming to realize the power that is there.
